I found a poem video "LOST FAITH": https://www.facebook.com/iShoaib.Writes/videos/277492649873061/
This may be related this lyrics.

Because of the similarity, I thought the lyrics are taken from this poem.
But the video was posted in this March...
So it's not the original but probably uses the same source (directly).

BTW, I think "I DON'T hope for ..." better fit into the atmosphere than "I hope for ...".
I wonder why Bob edited it.
Of course it's a great song, though.
