State Of Mind, Black Sun Empire & Codebreaker - Long Time Dead lyrics

ad
I could feel it in the ether
I could see it in the shadows
Dark light
Black sun, state of mind

Take you last breath, suck in the midnight air
And gather around where the daywalkers never dare
From black-eyed stares and blood-red flares
We command the whole dance from this rough shot thoroughfare
So put your town to bed
They comatosed and fled
I'm killing pros engrossed in post-watershed
Overloaded till their eardrums bled
Assimilated to the sound in your head
'Cause you're a long time dead

'Cause you're a long time dead (dead [?x])

Dead! [?x]

Overloaded till your eardrums bled [4x]
Assimilated to the sound in your head
'Cause you're a long time dead

The deepest inhale, the sharpest exhale
The circle in the sand, the jaggedest of foretells
I smell the blood trail, these hounds will never fail
I'm mortified and flying blind till my skin paled
It's the cerebellum flash point ignited by my forefathers
Reeking of a million scarred grafters
I turn my gaze up to the rafters
Nonchalant thereafter
Clandestine and sermonising laughter

Assault, we just work it
Weighed down by dominion skirmish
Deep down in the gutter […]
Slap a roll till we take its verdict
Tangled in the herd of a […]
Dangled to the brink of a […]
Words rip up a whirling derby
[…] in verb is the purpose
Spit lip till you're back on crack
Roll that in a […]
Fade down when the sun is black and it's ten past eight […] a fact
But no tears were shed and the memoirs read
Reality will bite you hard till you're a long time dead

'Cause you're a long time dead

Overloaded till your eardrums bled [4x]
Assimilated to the sound in your head
'Cause you're a long time dead

Dead! [?x]

I could feel it in the ether
I could see it in the shadows
Dark light
Black sun, state of mind

I was thinking it might be "cursed" — some people pronounce it "curse-ed".
Or it could be "curse in", which leads into the next line: "curse in words".
Neither seems to make much sense though.

Words rip up a whirling derby

I'm hearing: brink of a cursin' dunno how much sense that makes

Well the bit after the "spit lip..." I hear is "Roll that in a [..]"
I might have some more but I'm tired so I'll try again tomorrow
