I'm moving forward
Both of my eyes are aimed directly in the future
In order to advance people have to get their eyes set to the future and stop thinking about the past
I don't look back; I don't see what you gain by dwelling in the past and bitching about things you can't change
I know first hand the price you pay for telling the truth
The system can come down hard and you have to be prepared for it
People are uncomfortable with too much truth
Despite the frustration and anger I vent in my music I have a great deal of hope for the future
When I meet with kids around the country, they all give me reasons to be optimistic

For now I make records, that's my job
And in those records I drop parallels to the different degrees of anger people feel on the street
I will continue to do so as long as I'm able and until I feel there's a better way
It's up to you to change the system more than me
You decide what the problem is you want to address and you make them your mission
Everybody should have a mission that is fueled by Their experiences in their own hearts
If we all told the truth and communicated with each other, we had something to work with
We have to move forward!
